Each patient examination area is equipped with a state-of-the-art computer system along with a remote patient monitor.  This technology allows Meridian Dental Associates to share both intraoral digital imaging along with digital x-rays with the patients in a comfortable and confidential environment leading to increased opportunity for co-diagnosis and informed consent in ongoing patient oral healthcare.

Meridian Dental Associate's use of software enhanced digital imaging X-rays provides insights far beyond the capabilities of ordinary x-ray film. Each digital x-ray starts with an image that at a minimum is diagnostically equivalent to a film based image. Once the image is digitized, it can then be colorized, sharpened, measured, brightened, embossed, smoothed and then can then be zoomed to approximately 1600% of the original image size allowing an extremely close-up look unavailable with a film based image.  Each image is also instantly integrated within   the patients computer file eliminating problems encountered with film processing and storage.  This equipment also effectively reduces radiation requirements by as much as 90% (as compared to D-speed film). Images can  also be exported and duplicated with 100% accuracy.
